This is my RED log cabin. At least thatís how it started out. I selected all red fabrics and it wasnít until the clerk had her open shears poised above my intended yardage that I realized I donít like RED.
I changed my mind and selected blues. Iím happy now.
The only other problem I had was with the pattern. The dumb lady that wrote the book I was using didnít know what size bed I had and when I got the top pieced I noticed that it was way too big. It went down the sides of the mattress, to the floor, and was on itís way to the bathroom!
To get it to the right size, I got on my hands and knees and trimmed it with a pair of scissors all the way around the bed so it hit just below the box springs. (Pretty smart, huh?)
I had a heck of a time doing the part by the pillows but I managed.
Even with the trimming, itís still a great big honker of a quilt. It takes both Debbie and Cassie to hold it up for this photo. Thatís Daisy keeping the bottom border from flapping.
People with very good eye site might notice that my trimming job wasnít exactly symmetrical.
