I like to learn something new each time I pick a project. This time it was piecing with a focal square. I chose black so that the spinning would stop! I read the directions for a year, wrung my hands over the tutorial, consulted my Art Quilting neighbor, and even asked Ami a question or two before I took the plunge. "Twisted Woods" was the result and a gift to our friends who live in our wooded neighborhood. I quilted it myself with what I call "rampant meandering," since I wasn't patient enough to stitch in a ditch...What ditch?...There's a ditch? Thanks for letting me share in this great pattern and your great quilting site that inspires us all to take risks large and small. Bless you, Ami Simms!
