The strips for this bowl were cut from gradated fabric. After I cut the strips, from dark to light, I had to keep them in order as I worked.
It also meant that I had to cut the fabric with the grain, to take advantage of the color change. That meant it was more difficult to wrap (no stretch) and it has gotten a little "hairy" with age. As the bowl is handled, threads from the edge of the fabric are poking out.
I should probably stop showing people that the bowls can be turned inside-out or else I'll have to give the bowl a haircut.
