As Alfred Lord Tennyson so aptly put it: "In the spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love, and quilters think of dying their underpants."

Yes, I'll be at it again soon. Beat the rush. Get your panties in an envelope now. They make great gifts.

iPhone VIDEOS I've been experimenting with my iPhone and an "app" called iMovie. It takes me about an iHour to make each iVideo and then three iHours to find it again on iTunes. I hate that software. It makes me feel like an iIdiot.

Let's just say the learning curve is a tad slow, but I hope to get better.

Students in workshops this year have graciously given me permission to YouTube them in class. Those of you who didn't wind up on the cutting room floor may just see yourselves in these mercifully short and hopefully slightly amusing iMovies. iVideos? iWhatever.

Twisted Sisters Workshop Video.

The Babies Are Cold (String Quilting Workshop) Video.

Dancing Spools Video.

I'm looking forward to traveling to these guilds/shows in the next two months:

Longmont Quilt Guild (Longmont, CO) April 12-13
Panhandle Quilt Guild (Scottsbluff, NE) April 15-16
Home Machine Quilting Show (Salt Lake City, UT) May 5
Ocean Waves, NQA Chapter #296 (Miami, FL) May 14 and 15
Southwest Florida Quilt Guild (Ft Myers, FL) May 17-18

See my Teaching Schedule for contact information so you can attend my presentations. Or just take a look if you're wondering where else I might show up.

If you're on a PC I have a great tip for you. Ever accidentally hit the Caps Lock key? Drives me nuts too. Try this: hold down the NUM LOCK key for about 5 seconds. Eventually a little box will pop up that says:

"Holding down the Num Lock key for 5 seconds turns on the ToggleKeys. ToggelKeys causes a tone to sound when you press the CAPS LOCK, NUM LOC, or SCROLL LOCK KEYS.
To keep Toglekeys on, click OK.
To cancel ToggleKeys, click Cancel.
To deactivate the key combination for TogleKeys, click Setting.

Trust me, that's a lot of information for one little dialogue box. Just lick, excuse me, CLICK, OK. Every time you hit any of those three keys (Caps Lock, Num Lock, or Scroll Lock), you'll hear an anemic beep. Hey it's better than nothing, which is what you'll get after you restart or turn off your computer. This little trick doesn't last. And don't get after me if you're using some new fangled operating system that doesn't have this option. I live in the past. Windows XP, to be exact.

The auction is up, bid for a cure.

The AAQI Update Blog has a new entry called "Quilts From All Corners of the World," read it here.

Enjoy the exquisite colors of exotic birds.

Here are three equally amazing videos to enjoy:

Open your eyes to the immense differences between our lifestyles and those of others in the world. A train runs through itů

Behold the imagination of a kinetic sculpture artist. How'd he DO that?!

And a cute commercial for milk that asks, "What if cats had opposable thumbs?!"

We keep selling out of Karen Kay Buckley's Perfect Scissors, but we have them in stock again now. Order here.

Looking forward to warm temperatures and exposed elbows.
